Measure participants’ brain wave : The installation will move according to their alpha and gamma waves.
Simulation of Dream status : alpha and gamma wave express the concept of dream. Gamma wave actually sparks when people get insights, idea, or realization called "Aha! Moment." According to neuroscientific research, people who are in vivid dreams have gamma wave. The noticeable fact is this gamma wave is preceded by alpha and theta waves which represents relax, and REM sleep. In other words, when we rest, this "Aha! Moment" come.
Appearance
- Material : wheels - Baltic Birch Plywood, back panel - Canadian Plywood
- 3 wooden wheels symbolize dream generation, spinning according to participants' alpha and gamma waves.
2 Types of Audience: Participants and the Rest of the Audience
- Participants will experience the simulation of dream by following guidelines on screen. I made a website for this. Link
- During one participant experience dream simulation, the rest of the audience can enjoy watching the whole picture, the movement of installaion - poetic expression of dreams.
